Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of teens and young mothers? Join our team as a Volunteer Mentor! We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to provide support, guidance, and mentorship to young mothers navigating the challenges of parenthood.
Job Responsibilities
- Mentorship: Offer one-on-one mentorship to teen and young mothers, providing emotional support and practical advice.
- Workshops: Assist in organizing and facilitating workshops on parenting skills, financial literacy, and personal development.
- Resource Connection: Help connect young mothers with community resources, such as healthcare, education, and childcare services.
- Support Groups: Lead or co-lead support groups to foster a sense of community and shared experiences among young mothers.
Qualifications
- Empathy and Patience: A genuine desire to help and support young mothers.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience: Previous experience in mentorship, counseling, or working with young parents is a plus.
- Commitment: Ability to commit to a regular schedule and attend training sessions.
