We seek reliable individuals to work as over-hire facility and event staff, dealing with event logistics, set-up, vendor check in and strike. In addition, certain qualified individuals may be asked to perform light maintenance work, including during and after special events.

Venue Events Coordinators will report directly to the Venue Manager and/or Venue Event Managers. Venue Events Coordinators must be available to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends and late night as required by the event schedule. T

Job Responsibilities

Facility and Events Staff Scope of Work includes but is not limited to:

  • Open the facility and receive vendor deliveries, and close the facility following events
  • Read and interpret room layout diagrams and accurately set up furniture, equipment and décor items as needed
  • Communicate with vendors of all types to execute events flawlessly
  • Conduct tours of the Noah Liff Opera center for potential clients
  • Coordinate with outside event planners and staff before during and following events, ensuring that all facility policies are followed
  • Monitor the facility’s equipment during events to ensure they are in proper working order
  • Always serve as an ambassador for the Noah Liff Opera Center brand and mission

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience in events or executing project specific duties
  •  Ability to follow instructions from various project managers
  • Performs well working in a fast-paced environment
  • A demonstrated ability to multitask
  • Comfortable dealing with the public
  • Exceptional spoken and written communication skills
  • Top notch customer service skills, with a commitment to exceeding expectations
  • Professional appearance and demeanor, including a genuine welcoming smile
  • The ability to lift fifty (50) pounds unassisted

Venue Events Coordinator Requirements:

  • Must be available to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends and late night as required by the event schedule. Shifts are event based.
  • Commit to at least 10 hours and one Saturday per month.
  • Must be able to collaborate with a diverse clientele, staff, and vendor base.
