OBJECTIVE

The Talent Relations Manager (TRM) acts as a resource to our most important and valued asset, our people.  The TRM’s focus is to ensure our culture of inclusivity is embraced through all the HR practices and processes including talent acquisition, reward & recognition, and learning/career growth initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Serves as the primary contact for all matters relating to the recruitment process.  This includes creating job postings, screening resumes, preparing offer letters, coordinating the background check process, and onboarding new hires.
  • As the main point of contact for new hires, and hiring managers, the TRM will shepherd both the new staff members and their managers during the first 90 days of the employment experience.  This may include answering routine questions, researching and identifying learning opportunities, scheduling and facilitating TPAC 101, and conducting regular check-ins to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Maintains and updates organization charts.
  • Administers the online reward & recognition system for FT staff.
  • Respond to routine questions regarding policies, and practices, and will refer complex or sensitive questions to the Director or VP.
  • Creates and assists in HR presentations
  • Work with others throughout the organization to implement and exemplify policies as part of TPAC’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, access, and equity.

Qualifications

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Required: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years’ experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Innovation, creativity, and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Capacity to balance multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. Must have the ability to use discretion in dealing with confidential and personal information.  Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred: PHR certification.

FREQUENT FUNCTIONS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Frequent Functions: Work in an office environment. Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.  Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends.
