Job Summary
Do you want to lead a robust and diverse team nationally recognized for its efforts to move people out of poverty? As Senior Director of Data and Evaluation, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the systems, processes, and culture necessary so that Martha O’Bryan does its best work. This role oversees all data-related reporting, compliance, and research, and is responsible for evaluating the agency’s achievement and implementing efforts to improve staff understanding of performance and impact. The Senior Director supervises MOBC Data Base Manager, implements efforts to improve staff understanding of performance and impact, and works to develop and maintain a culture that is continuously curious, learning, and advancing.
Job Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Oversees agency data collection, compliance, reporting, and analysis.
- Manages the process of data collection, reporting, and analysis; provides training, creates dashboards and visuals, and utilizes evidence-based supports and interventions to ensure programming and services are best practice and data-driven.
- Responsible for maintaining all MOBC data systems and directly supervising the MOBC Database Manager. Provides guidance and leadership to all data-related tasks.
- Responsible for all agency staff training and professional development related to data, analysis, and evaluation. Uses small groups and one-on-one coaching to support staff learning, decision-making, continuous improvement, and accountability.
- Ensures all staff and teams understand expectations for reporting, outcome performance, and contract compliance. Oversees written policies and user manuals.
- Regularly audits files and reports to ensure grant and contract compliance.
- Facilitates the flow of information and integration by attending and/or conducting meetings with other Martha O’Bryan Center staff members, community partners, and others.
- Assist with creating, organizing, and facilitating interconnected projects that help MOBC’s work advance.
- In partnership with CPO and COO, develops universal outcomes and logic models based on proven strategies and interventions.
- Establishes and advances data-curious and data-informed culture.
- Regularly updates and expands MOBC’s community needs assessments to reflect education, employment, safety, health and wellness, connectivity, and social capital needs and aspirations.
- Defines best practices in data storage, integration, and synthetization.
- Works with MOBC to craft competitive applications that advance agency goals and meet community needs.
- Coordinates efforts completed by outside researchers and evaluators.
- Communicate with stakeholders [the grants team and direct service staff] to keep data collection and reporting aligned with program requirements.
- Stays up to date with Salesforce and Exponent Case Management (ECM) announcements as well as industry developments, particularly in security, and communicates and/or acts on those updates as needed.
- Provides regular reports and assistance to the COO.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in research, data, and evaluation is required.
