Preston Taylor Ministries (PTM) is a Christian-based non-profit organization that exists to provide safe and fun neighborhood programming for kids to learn and grow. Programs include after school tutoring, summer field trips, seasonal sports, one-on-one mentoring, Bible studies, camps, and more. These programs for kids are supported by the PTM staff, community partners, parent volunteers, and generous donors that support the work of PTM. PTM empowers our kids to discover and live their God-inspired dreams, develop a love for learning, and build joy-filled friendships that glorify Christ Jesus.
The Executive Program Director will oversee the daily programming operations of Preston Taylor Ministries including elementary, middle, and high school programming.

Executive Leadership
- Participate on the Executive Leadership team providing input on organization–wide strategic decisions
- Oversee all programming (K-12th) provided by Preston Taylor Ministries and ensuring programming is in line with the mission, vision, values, and core beliefs of PTM.
- Supervise programming staff including West, North, Central and Youth Area Program Director, ensuring PTM has excellent and consistent practices across program areas and sites.
- Assist in the recruiting, onboarding, and development of a high-quality program staff
- Hold weekly “check in” meetings with direct reports listening for: what’s working, what’s not working, and how you can help them succeed this week.
Programming
- Help ensure high-quality academic instruction and consistent programming across sites in line with PTM’s mission, vision, values, and core beliefs.
- Lead in the measurement and documentation of ‘student connectedness’ for PTM kids.
- Oversee enrollment of sites in accordance with the strategic plan and capacity limit.
- Work closely with the advancement team and volunteer coordinator to facilitate meaningful mentoring programs that allow for students to have long-lasting joy-filled friendships with caring adults.
- Help ensure meaningful placement of volunteers, interns, and Leap Fellowship staff across all programs.
- Provide enriching outings and experiences for PTM youth.
- Support the mentoring programs that allow for students to have long-lasting joy-filled friendships with caring adults and help ensure meaningful placement, management and follow up of volunteers and interns.
- Support student participation in supplemental PTM programs, field trips, and other experiential learning.
- Build relationships with existing and new community partners to increase student exposure to meaningful opportunities.

Qualifications
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- 8+ years of experience in youth development
- 2+ years of experience in Christian-based or non-profit ministry
- Experience working among a racially diverse population of staff and youth
- Collaborate across departments and build consensus around shared goals
- Ability to craft clear, concise, and well-structured written documents, including emails, summary reports on PTM programming, and occasional presentations.
- Demonstrates attention to detail and proper grammar to ensure professional and polished communication.
- Exhibits strong active listening skills, ensuring full comprehension of conversations. Accurately interprets verbal and non-verbal cues and responds thoughtfully, fostering an environment for effective collaboration and understanding.
- Skilled in giving and receiving feedback constructively. This includes providing feedback that improves employee performance, team collaboration, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement and open communication.
- Ability to build trust, establish safety, and empower staff during one-on-one meetings
- Skilled in the art of coaching other leaders on how to effectively communicate.
- Ability to think strategically about how to ensure program initiatives align with program budget, PTM youth scorecards, and programming KPI’s
- Experience with budgeting, fundraising, and managing resources within a nonprofit context.
- Ability to build out priorities and hold teams accountable to tasks.
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with local organizations, schools, government agencies, and businesses to create partnerships and expand opportunities for the program.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to move about a gym, standing, sitting, walking, going up and down stairs, move tables, benches and chairs, take students on field trips, drive and travel between programming sites, and drive a bus when necessary.
- May require prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
