Tennessee Bar Foundation
Executive Director
Tennessee Bar Foundation
Job Summary
The Tennessee Bar Foundation is a legal, philanthropic organization that honors attorneys who have distinguished themselves in the profession by electing them as “Fellows,” uses the contributions of those Fellows to support law-related public projects and administers, on behalf of the Tennessee Supreme Court, the “IOLTA” (Interest On Lawyers’ Trust Accounts) program, which makes significant grant awards for similar law-related projects throughout the state. The Foundation has awarded over $27,000,000 to those projects since 1988.
A twelve-member Board of Trustees governs the Foundation. The Board seeks a professional to lead this multi-faceted organization as its Executive Director. The Executive Director will work within the legal community, the banking community, and the community of nonprofit organizations. This is a highly visible position within Tennessee, and he/she will also represent Tennessee among other executives of similar organizations across the country.
