Job Summary

This is a grant-funded, part-time position with the Nashville Public Library Foundation and involves teaching basic digital literacy skills classes for older adults.

Job Responsibilities

Duties include:

  • Teach adult basic computer skills classes both at library locations and at partner sites.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Some college or professional training is required.
  • Be able to travel to various locations throughout the city.
  • Valid Tennessee driver’s license
  • Experience using computers, the Internet, and email.
  • Experience with mobile devices and downloading apps.
  • Be familiar with Internet Safety, Privacy, and Security.
  • Knowledge of Nashville Public Library digital products is a plus
  • Ability to teach computer skills to adults of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Knowledge of current technologies with a willingness to learn
  • Patience a must
