Special Olympics Tennessee’s (SOTN) offices are in Nashville, Tennessee.

DESCRIPTION

The Development Information Manager’s predominant role is two-fold: (A) Oversee and ensure efficient and clear information standards and practices by managing all aspects of the CRM database, and (B) Enhance and manage with highest industry practices sponsor and donor fulfillment, recognition structures, and procedures.

The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.

Job Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and manage organizational data and information management, entry, reporting procedures, and acknowledgments across platforms, primarily through SOTC’s Kindful CRM database
  • Ensure best practices and maintain utmost confidentiality by protecting data and information integrity
  • Assist with Unified Champion Schools (UCS) and health data-related grant tracking and reporting requirements
  • Manage and oversee entry of Class A background check forms into SOTN’s Games Management System (GMS) database in direct conjunction with the SOTN Sports & Competitions team’
  • Manage holistic fulfillment and stewardship oversight plan for annual fundraising program (e.g., identify opportunities/multiple touchpoints along with tracking and reporting throughout the fiscal year)
  • Maintain filing systems and information management efficiencies
  • Work closely with the Community Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator and other team members to activate sponsor and volunteer group engagement to support all major state and regional event needs and compile detailed post-event recaps for mid-and-year end reporting
  • Help support Board of Directors meetings with minutes and compiling reports
  • Schedule and track established deadlines and reporting requirements for existing and potential SOTN donors, partners, and volunteers to align with yearly organizational needs and goals
  • Create a reporting matrix to track major event metrics for grants, proposals, and fulfillment purposes
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Development Officer (CDO)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is strongly preferred
  • Three to five (3-5) years of experience in database management/nonprofit fundraising
  • Paid and/or volunteer experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities (ID) preferred 
  • Possess excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work well independently and in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in using relevant technology, including Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Docs, and an ability to learn new database systems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including public speaking
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with diverse personalities with a team-first mindset
  • Ability to build effective relationships with a variety of organizations
  • Willingness to travel and work evenings and weekends, as needed
  • Have a valid Tennessee driver’s license and meet minimum Tennessee vehicle insurance requirements
  • Must pass a criminal background screening and submit to random drug testing
