Job Summary
We are searching for a dedicated and socially conscious development assistant to assist our organization’s development team in creating and implementing strategies that ensure sustainability and organizational growth. Duties for the development assistant will include but not be limited to:
- Coordinating all social media outreach
- Writing newsletters, grants, and reports
- Engaging with potential donors
- Preparing and managing mailing lists
- Assisting with event planning
- Driving community engagement initiatives
- Tracking contributions
- Ensuring timely acknowledgment of contributions
Your expertise in supporting development efforts will assist our organization in improving outreach opportunities, strengthening relationships with donors, encouraging organizational growth, and promoting Grace Place Ministry’s mission and values to external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate for this role should possess excellent networking abilities, exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal), outstanding people skills, and time management skills. This candidate should enhance the efficiency of administrative functions, sustain organizational growth, maintain positive relations with donors, and ensure the integrity of development processes.
Development Assistant Responsibilities:
- Maintaining relations with donors
- Creating and maintaining social media exposure
- Designing and detailing outreach strategies
- Maintaining donor databases
- Supporting and improving fund-raising efforts
- Enhancing overall development initiatives
- Engaging with support agencies
- Distributing public relations and prospect materials.
- Administrative duties for the operation
Development Assistant Requirements:
- Preferred degree in public relations, marketing, or communication
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer literacy
- Networking skills
- Self-motivated
- Good interpersonal skills
- Database management experience
- Analytical skills
This position is full-time and in-person in Hendersonville, TN.
