Job Summary
Westminster Home Connection is a nonprofit organization that provides critical home repairs and mobility modifications for older adults and individuals with disabilities in Middle Tennessee. Our mission is to improve the overall health and well-being of our community by allowing homeowners to age in place safely and with dignity. We work closely with case managers from healthcare and social service agencies who address multiple needs apart from our services.
This is a full-time role for a Construction Technician at Westminster Home Connection. We are looking to add additional Construction Technicians to our team who have residential repair experience and a heart for service.
Job Responsibilities
Desired skills include basic plumbing, basic electrical, and carpentry, with a working knowledge of power tools. The role involves working on critical repairs and mobility modifications to make homes safe and functional for our clients ensuring construction safety, and adhering to quality standards.
Qualifications
Due to the nature of the work, any applicant should be able to meet these minimum qualifications:
- Arrive timely to the work location daily.
- Capable of performing a full day’s physical work – walking, standing, climbing, kneeling, and lifting 50 lbs.
- Able to follow directions, but at the same time, think and act independently as the job requires.
- Display exceptionally good organization and time management skills.
- Be a contributing team member in a supportive, learning, caring, and growing agency culture.
