Job Summary

The Center Director at FiftyForward Martin Center plays a crucial role as the primary leader and face of the organization in the service area. They are responsible for fostering positive relationships within the community, enhancing the center’s image, and overseeing all operational aspects. This includes program development, implementation, administration, evaluation, and staff supervision. Collaboration with senior leadership, the Martin Center Advisory Board, and community partners is essential to secure resources and enhance the center’s operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and oversight of center operations, programs and activities
  • Responsible for all fundraising events and development aspects for FiftyForward Martin Center
  • Participates in annual budgeting process and ensures all goals are met
  • Supervises staff and handles daily center operations
  • Maintains relationships with Advisory Council
  • Develops public relations strategies and ensures compliance with brand standards
  • Participates in professional associations and supports other FiftyForward programs

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field
  • Experience: 4 – 7 years’ experience in a social services agency
  • Special skills: Organizational management, resource development, working with senior adults
  • Certifications and licenses: Valid Driver’s license
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to attend meetings and events
  • Equipment Requirements: Computer, copier, scanner, telecommunications system
  • Working Hours: 40 hours per week with occasional evenings and weekends
