Job Summary
NASHVILLE INDUSTRY FUND BOARD MEMBER SUMMARY
Nashville Industry Fund, a 501(c)3, is looking for well-qualified board members with expertise in nonprofit fundraising and donor retention, DEI work, or music business/hospitality industry experience to join our team. Our mission is to keep Nashville Music City by providing a pathway to homeownership to our city’s most valued industry professionals.
NIF was incorporated in December 2022, and are working diligently to grow our core team that will help launch our programs in 2024.

Job Responsibilities
Our new board members would assist us in growing the organization from our current startup phase to long-term stability. Our current board has a wealth of expertise in the Real Estate industry, and we are looking to build a more diverse Board.
- Active service for a 3-year term.
- Attend scheduled monthly Board meetings on the 2nd Tuesday of each month (80% attendance required – most meetings can be attended on Zoom). Board meetings will decrease to bi-monthly after 2024.
- Serve as an ambassador for NIF in the community and on social media.
- Promote our events and programs to your friends and networks.
- Serve on at least one committee.
- Make a yearly pledge to “give or get” ($1,000)
- Help NIF acquire In-kind donations for its events and programmatic work.
- Volunteer at fundraisers and tabling events.
Qualifications
Previous nonprofit board and leadership experience. Target skills for NIF Board members include one or more of the following: fundraising, donor retention, DEI work, music industry (and adjacent), hospitality, and food industry experience.
