You know the basics of grant writing...so, now what? Under the guidance of grant writing expert, Dr. Bernard Turner, take your grant writing skills to the next, advanced level. Participants will complete a writing exercise for a grant opportunity (idea) and also work as a group to write a section of a grant proposal. Learn how grant reviewers analyze and review grant proposals. (Lunch is provided.)
This is not an introductory course to grant writing. Participants will have either taken Basic Grant Writing and/or have at least 1 year of grant writing experience.
Learning Objectives:
• Learn top tips for writing grant proposals
• Review common grant proposal components
• Understand the importance of a concept paper
• Learn how to write an effective letter of inquiry
• Write compelling sections of a grant proposal
(*CNM reserves the right to move in-person workshops to Zoom or an alternate location if public health conditions or other logistical considerations warrant.)
Note: This workshop can be used as an elective for all CNM Certificate programs requiring additional electives for completion.
