Job Summary
PURPOSE: The mission of Operation Andrew Group is to unite the Body of Christ as we partner with the local church to love God and our neighbors. Through the initiative of Pastor Engagement, we work to equip, support, and connect Pastors to live out their calling.
United4Pastors serves pastors across four areas, and the purpose of this United4Pastors Pastoral Care Manager is to contribute to the building of a local interdenominational pastors’ network, prioritizing opportunities and resources to support pastors as humans first, so that they may continue to love God and themselves, and that they may be able to love their neighbor in the same way.
This leader should bring honor to Christ in all things. The United4Pastors Pastoral Care Manager will also work as a collaborative member of the Operation Andrew Group team.
Job Responsibilities
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish new and strengthen existing relationships with local pastors throughout Nashville
- Plan and facilitate regular gatherings and events for United4Pastors on topics related to self-care, mental health, relationships in the family of a Pastor/Ministry leader, and caring for the mental health needs of the congregation
- Meet with individual pastors and church staff to share about United4Pastors and to engage and support them as individuals in ministry leadership
- Work with the United4Pastors team to cultivate and maintain a robust program plan and calendar of events
- Participate in collective Operation Andrew Group events, including our CALLED benefit dinner, the Golf Challenge, pastor gatherings, and other events as identified based on organizational needs and goals
- Job duties are subject to adapt and change to meet the organization’s goals and needs.
Qualifications
- Must have a strong personal relationship with Jesus and value the local church and its leadership
- 3-5 years of pastoral experience strongly desired, ideally serving in a bi-vocational ministry role
- Bachelor’s degree desired
- Master’s degree encouraged or relevant professional or lived experience
- Self-starter, process and detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and relationships
- Leads with integrity
- Able to work independently as well as in collaboration with the team with a strong ability to organize and prioritize
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience or willingness to learn Microsoft Office Suite and Little Green Light (CRM)
- Work ethic aligns with organizational core values of integrity, flexibility, adaptability, grace, transparency, truthfulness, and respect
- Able to work occasional evenings and weekends
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Hybrid office and at home. Office hours are Tuesday 9:00-noon, with additional hours varying week to week, to total approximately 80 hours per month, but not more than 28 hours in any given workweek. Some evening and weekend hours are necessary for scheduled events and appointments.
