JOB SUMMARY

The Co-Occurring Programs Supervisor oversees the co-occurring outpatient programs, supervises program staff, conducts therapeutic assessments, facilitates group sessions, and provides individual support. Additionally, the role involves developing new initiatives, expanding community awareness, and building relationships with referral sources to promote program growth.

Job Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Strategic Leadership

  • Collaborate with leadership, including the Director of Clinical Services, Chief Program Officer, and Business Development Manager, to implement and refine growth strategies for IOP/OP services.
  • Support the development of comprehensive curricula that meet the diverse needs of members, ensuring alignment with the best practices and current research.
  • Design and implement targeted marketing and community outreach initiatives to drive engagement and increase program awareness.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with referral sources, healthcare providers, and community organizations to foster program growth.
  • Conduct regular analysis of program performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop actionable growth strategies.
  • Lead strategic planning sessions with key stakeholders to align program objectives with broader organizational goals.
  • Innovate new service offerings based on community needs and trends in mental health and substance recovery, ensuring the program remains competitive and effective.

Team Leadership

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient Programs (IOP/OP), ensuring smooth service delivery and effective client outcomes.
  • Supervise program staff and students, including conducting regular supervision meetings, providing constructive feedback, and guiding professional development.
  • Lead the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes for new staff, ensuring team members are equipped to deliver high-quality services.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment where staff feel supported and motivated to achieve their professional goals.
  • Manage crisis situations effectively, coordinating with relevant emergency services when necessary, and providing guidance to staff during high-stress events.
  • Ensure smooth transitions between different levels of care, working closely with PC staff, and other healthcare professionals to provide continuity of support for members.
  • Lead weekly team meetings to review client progress, address challenges, and align treatment goals, as well as monthly consultations with the consulting physician to ensure clinical alignment.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning by organizing training opportunities and professional development workshops for staff, focusing on evidence-based interventions and therapeutic best practices.
  • Encourage open communication within the team, ensuring that all staff members feel heard and that their input is valued in decision-making processes.

Program Development

  • Participate in community committees to develop collaborations that enhance program offerings and expand service reach.
  • Identify new program opportunities, such as telehealth services, and other evidence-based interventions to address emerging community needs.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, innovations, and best practices to keep the program relevant and impactful.
  • Represent the organization at community events, conferences, and networking opportunities to strengthen program visibility and establish meaningful partnerships.
  • Develop and implement targeted marketing and outreach initiatives aimed at increasing program awareness and member engagement.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to create and refine strategies for program expansion, ensuring sustainable growth and alignment with community needs.
  • Foster cross-departmental collaboration to integrate new services effectively and optimize program development efforts.

Compliance and Standards

  • Ensure the program meets all licensure, accreditation, and regulatory requirements, including those set forth by state and federal agencies.
  • Develop and maintain systems for tracking compliance-related tasks, ensuring timely completion of documentation, audits, and reviews.
  • Conduct regular internal audits of charts, reports, and client records to ensure that documentation meets quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance and other departments to identify areas for improvement in compliance processes and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and support to staff to ensure they are informed and compliant with all relevant regulations, including confidentiality, ethical practices, and clinical documentation standards.
  • Stay updated on changes in regulations and accreditation standards, ensuring that the program adapts to maintain compliance at all times.

Community Engagement

  • Promote program services to a wide audience, focusing on evidence-based practices.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with stakeholders to enhance program impact.
  • Work with the TN Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services to meet contractual requirements.

Risk Management

  • Identify and mitigate potential risks to the organization.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Program Officer, Director of Clinical Services, and Quality Assurance to ensure regulatory compliance.

Financial Oversight

  • Develop, manage, and monitor the program budget to ensure financial sustainability and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Analyze financial reports to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to inform stakeholders of the program’s financial growth.
  • Collaborate with finance and leadership teams to ensure that financial practices meet regulatory and funding requirements.
  • Prepare outcomes for PM&F monthly meetings.
  • Ensure accurate financial documentation, compliance with funding requirements, and timely submission of budget reports.

Other Duties

  • Attend all management meetings and staff training.
  • Adhere to agency policies and complete all required training.
  • Provide constructive feedback, mentor staff, and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Knowledgeable about Park Center policies and procedures and follows them accurately.
  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize tasks, allocate resources effectively, delegate as appropriate, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Be able to provide constructive feedback, mentor team members, and support professional growth and development.
  • Demonstrate the ability to navigate conversations adeptly. Employ active listening, and empathy, and tailor communication that resonates with employees.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in a mental health/related field required.
  • LPC-MHSP, LCSW, or LADAC license required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a substance recovery setting.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with program or project administration preferred.
