AncoraTN (ATN), formerly End Slavery Tennessee, works tirelessly to nurture survivor healing and strategically combat human trafficking in Middle Tennessee. We seek to break cycles of exploitation and support survivors of human trafficking as they heal from their traumas—offering long-term, comprehensive aftercare services. Through training communities and professionals, advocating for legal changes, and implementing prevention programming, AncoraTN works to stop human trafficking before it ever begins.

AncoraTN was founded in 2012 as a faith-based, not-for-profit organization for the purpose of community awareness and education. REPORTS TO: Director of Programs

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Resident Manager will provide services to survivors of human trafficking in Middle Tennessee utilizing End Slavery Tennessee in-house services, contacts, community service providers, and other collaborations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Implement all aspects of our Residential Program, including reviewing, planning, designing, and fulfilling program policies, procedures, and grant compliance guidelines.
  • Maintain all required documentation, including reporting for grants, in a professional and timely manner and assisting in tracking outcomes for grant purposes.
  • Supervise the Resident Coordinator and Resident Staff and ensure that the Residential Staff is trained and up to date on trauma-informed and strength-based practices.
  • Coordinate care with the Direct Service team to address participant’s goals and desired outcomes and to ensure a seamless system of care, informing treatment and vice versa.
  • Recruit and empower a team of Residential Staff in order to execute the two-year residential programming piece of the holistic healing journey.
  • Monitor the residence for issues that may arise and provide the first level of maintenance, problem-solving, oversight, and crisis resolution/de-escalation.
  • Create innovative programming for the Residential participants focusing on their unique needs, goals, and interests.
  • Oversee Survivor Resource Center and residential needs list by coordinating with the Development team as needed, communicating needs, and managing the coordination of donations while overseeing volunteers.
  • Be on-call on a rotating basis.
  • Carry out duties assigned by the Director of Programs and CEO.
  • Establish strong, appropriate, and caring working relationships with victims of human trafficking in a safe house environment. Participants may include both minors and adults.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with other organizations as needed, for case coordination and response.
  • Coordinate closely with the Director of Programs and other staff members to carry out the mission and in the development of an ever-improving system of care for the survivors we serve.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on participants and services for grant reporting and research purposes.
  • Attend staff meetings and meetings in the community, as deemed appropriate and useful.
  • Maybe called upon to represent the organization and share expertise at professional and community training and other events.
  • Perform other agency-related duties or special projects, as directed by the supervisor. Duties may change according to organizational needs.
  • Oversee internal security systems, internal confidential database documents, and staff personnel requests.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

  • Excellent, proven managerial skills.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed care.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and implement best practices around services for at-risk individuals and families.
  • Demonstrated ability to de-escalate volatile situations.
  • Moderate-level computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets.
  • People-oriented with a demonstrated ability to build rapport and gain trust with diverse populations.
  • Ability and willingness to work irregular hours when needs dictate.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and oral, and prompt response to messages.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality, as required by law and in the best interests of survivors, staff, and the agency.
  • Fast learner, quick mind, capacity for hard work, teachable and flexible.
  • Valid driver’s license, state-required driver’s insurance, and access to reliable personal transportation.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Initial and subsequent random drug screening is required as per agency policy.
  • A background check is required.
  • Must be willing and able to embrace and exemplify our core values.

JOB TYPE:

Full-time, Monday-Friday 8 am-4 pm.

  • 120 hours PTO accrued 10 hours/ month. Eligible after 30 days of employment.
  • 96 hours of sick leave accrued 4 hours/ pay period. Eligible after 30 days of employment.
