Job Summary

The Mary Parrish Center (MPC) is a nonprofit human service organization dedicated to providing transitional housing, rapid rehousing, and coordinated entry for survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking. Our mission is to provide survivors of interpersonal violence and their children safe, accessible, and compassionate housing with individualized care that promotes healing, autonomy, and hope.

The MPC seeks a highly innovative, enthusiastic, and organized individual to fill its Director of Clinical Services position. The Director of Clinical Services is responsible for researching, planning, developing, and directing our client clinical services programs. This is a new position that will oversee our current clinical services and will also lead a collaborative responsible for the implementation and management of a new Kids Club and Mom’s Empowerment Program. This is a full-time exempt position, reporting directly to the Executive Director.

Job Responsibilities

  • Promote the organization’s mission and goals, both internally and externally.
  • In consultation with the Executive Director, recruit, interview, and select well-qualified clinical services staff.
  • Provide regular supervision to the clinical services team (2-3 therapists) to include support, direction, feedback, and professional development.
  • Review and evaluate clinical services staff performance, including annual performance reviews.
  • Participate in the needs assessment process, monthly collaborative meetings to include training and technical assistance, and in evaluation and dissemination of activities.
  • Plan and coordinate data collection and evaluation plans to meet programmatic goals and targets.
  • Assess programmatic progress and impact and use data to inform decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to cultivate existing and develop new partnerships with community and governmental agencies.
  • Work closely with, communicate, and inform the Executive Director of clinical service development, program management, and client service delivery.
  • Ensure programs are in compliance with all funding regulations.
  • Conduct ongoing record-keeping and participant file management for quality assurance and grant audit preparation.
  • Conduct ongoing programmatic goal and outcomes evaluation monitoring for grant audit preparation.
  • Forecast, track, and retain required supporting documentation of all clinical program grant expenditures.  
  • Monitor, refine, develop, and implement program forms, policies, and procedures.
  • Actively participate in appropriate community meetings, conferences, and trainings.
  • Promote organizational wellness through staff development, policy evaluation and development, trauma-informed client programming, diversity and inclusion best practices, and overall compassionate leadership within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Master’s level degree in social work, counseling, or in a clinically-based program in a field related to the above
  • Clinical licensure in a mental health field required
  • Supervisory and Management experience
  • Certification (or eligibility to be certified) to provide licensure supervision is preferred.
  • Experience working with children and families who have experienced trauma (including but not limited to interpersonal violence)
  • Experience planning and facilitating groups for children and adults, preferably in attachment and trauma
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and implement trauma-informed care and best practices around services for at-risk individuals and families
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Leadership and conflict management skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strategic mindset
  • Able to maintain confidentiality, as required by law and in the best interests of survivors, staff, and the agency
