Location: Nashville, TN (remote work with the ability to attend in-person meetings and events in Nashville)

Company Overview: I am Next (NEXT) is a movement that empowers youth aging out of foster care with the resources, relationships, and much-needed time to develop lasting independence and step confidently into their next chapter.

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Development Director to join our team.

As Development Director, you will create and implement a holistic fundraising strategy to ensure NEXT has sustainable funding to support our innovative projects. 

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Create a major gift pipeline and secure $500,000+ in major gifts annually.
• Secure $200,000+ in sponsorships for 2 annual events.
• Manage and support the Development Coordinator who is responsible for annual giving.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive donor stewardship program to maintain and grow donor relationships.
• Work closely with the Board of Directors to leverage their networks and support fundraising initiatives. 
• Develop and implement systems to measure and report the impact of fundraising efforts on the organization’s mission.
• Create KPIs to ensure goals are met. Report on KPIs monthly.
• You will not be responsible for securing grants. This work is managed by an outside contractor.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of Development Director experience.
• Demonstrated success in securing major gifts and sponsorships.
• Experience in creating and managing fundraising budgets.
• Commitment to and experience in implementing DEIA principles in fundraising practices.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and other fundraising software.
