W.O. Smith/Nashville Community Music School, a 501c3 non-profit, makes affordable, quality music instruction available to children from low-income families. We transform lives through music!
The ideal Student/Teacher Coordinator will be a bilingual, creative problem-solving musician who is able to handle a variety of tasks. Computer skills in word processing, database management, spreadsheets, and electronic communications (email and text) are expected.
Job Responsibilities
- Greeting and signing in students/teachers
- Answer phones, texts, and email
- Contacting students/teachers regarding schedule changes and absences
- Assisting with processing fee payments and attendance record-keeping
- Prepare and distribute necessary materials and information for lessons and events
- Offer support and guidance to new students and teachers to help them acclimate to the school’s environment and expectations
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improving student and teacher experiences
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Bilingual English/Spanish is highly desirable
- Music experience preferred
Schedule: 20 hours per week
Pay: $20 per hour
Monday-Wednesday: 1:00 pm – 6:30 pm
Saturday: 8:30 am – 12:00 pm
