We are proud to welcome Meagan as our new President and CEO! Meagan joins CNM after serving as the President and CEO of the United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties since January 2013. She has led a strategic organizational transformation and collaborates with the board of directors and staff to deliver on United Way’s mission and vision. More than $35 million has been raised during Meagan’s tenure as CEO, and initiatives such as the Young Leaders Society, Women United, Catalyst, the Bold Goals 2030, the Legacy Society, and Volunteer Connect, among others, have all been launched under her leadership. Additionally, United Way has experienced record annual giving, the launch of a planned giving campaign that exceeded initial goals by 500%, and the fifteen largest gifts in the organization’s history during Meagan’s tenure as CEO. Meagan has served on the United Way’s State Association Board of Directors in various capacities and is currently a member of the United Way Worldwide Major and Planned Giving Advisory Council.
Meagan is a past president of Rutherford Cable, the Junior League of Murfreesboro, MTSU’s Blue Raider Athletic Association, and Murfreesboro Young Professionals. She is active within Murfreesboro Noon Rotary and is a Paul Harris fellow. She volunteers her time with the Charity Circle of Murfreesboro. She previously served as the Philanthropy Chair for the Alpha Delta Pi International Sorority Foundation and on the Saint Thomas Health Mission Committee. She is a graduate of Leadership Rutherford, Leadership Middle Tennessee, and the Transit Citizen’s Leadership Academy. Meagan has earned the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential and is a Veritus Scholar.
Meagan has been recognized by the Center for the Arts with its “Change It!” award, is a past recipient of the Blue Raider Athletic Association’s “Most Valuable Person” award, the Junior League of Murfreesboro’s “Most Outstanding Member” award, MTSU Alumni Association’s True Blue Citation of Distinction for Service to the Community, and was named the 2021 ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award recipient for Rutherford County. She has also been a Nashville Emerging Leader Award nominee. Meagan earned both a bachelor’s degree in public relations and a master’s degree in strategic leadership from Middle Tennessee State University. Most recently, she earned an MBA from Vanderbilt University in May 2017.
