Job Summary
Provides coordination and direction for administering fiscal aspects of budgets, including grant management, fiscal reporting, payroll including supplemental pay, purchases, and budget tracking and analysis. Collaborates with the Director to ensure grant budget programs are compliant with State and Federal laws, regulations, and guidelines for the use of federal, state, and local funds.

Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership to support hiring, recruitment, and placement of staff (i.e., Promising Scholars). Collaborate with leadership and district departments to support district initiatives, programs, and partnerships related to extended learning and summer programs and support goals and outcomes.
- Collaborate with leadership to support hiring, recruitment, and placement of staff (i.e., Promising Scholars).
- Manage the collection of contracts and attendance data used for payroll.
- Support the creation of reports for TN DOE and other external entities regarding program data for the district’s summer learning programs.
- With direction from management, create, update, and implement policies and handbooks. May act as receptionist/ answer general calls, emails, and questions related to accelerating scholars’ initiatives (i.e., Promising Scholars).
- Assists in the development and implementation of systems utilizing student performance data to evaluate program effectiveness.
- Compile, and archive supporting documentation for audit and monitoring requests related to accelerating scholars’ and/or Promising Scholars including site-specific documentation such as contracts, rosters, timesheets, checklists, etc.
- Screens and directs calls and emails; answers questions as appropriate in order to relieve leadership of details; listens, advises, and communicates with staff and families inquiring about accelerating scholars’ and/or Promising Scholars. Manage agendas, collect information discussed, and formalize documentation for distribution.
- Possesses a mastery of computer and office skills, demonstrates the ability to assume responsibility without direct supervision; exercises initiative and judgment, and makes decisions within the scope of assigned authority.
- Performs other duties or tasks as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the responsibilities in this job classification.
Qualifications
Education: HS diploma or equivalent
Experience: Three to five years experience in high-volume office work
- Communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrators, teachers, students, the community, and administrative staff.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to develop positive working relationships with a diverse population of students, parents, community, college faculty, staff, administrators, and the general public.
- Must possess skills in the use of personal computers to input data, track participants, organize, document activities, and produce reports.
- Demonstrates ability to initiate and follow through on low to moderate-complexity projects, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
