Job Summary

Faith Family Medical Center is seeking an accomplished individual to join our team of clinicians and to serve as a certified Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate.  This position will be responsible for providing family-focused care and will develop treatment plans for acute and chronic diseases and will educate patients on disease prevention, performing diagnostic tests, and managing overall patient care.

Position Description:

Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, individuals in this position should display a professional yet nurturing personality, while consistently providing excellent care with a strong emphasis on wellness and disease prevention. This position works closely with other clinicians in a team approach to patient care and provides primary care services, including assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, treating, and educating patients. 2-5 years experience preferred, not mandatory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prescribe medication, examine patients, diagnose illnesses, and provide treatment.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests.
  • Gather health histories, and perform physical examinations and diagnostic procedures.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Document patient histories and symptoms.
  • Create patient care plans and contribute to existing ones.
  • Administer medicine and other treatments.
  • Train patients and families to manage and prevent illness and injury.
  • Dictate and document all patient interactions.
  • Notify the managing physician about unusual or unexpected events or problems.
  • Effectively communicate with diverse populations, including physicians, employees, patients, and families.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics:

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or
  • Master’s Degree, Physician Associate
  • RN licensure (TN) (if applicable).
  • Authorization in TN to practice family health by the Board of Nurse Examiners or The National Commission on Certification of Physician Associates.
  • Must hold current licensure/registration to practice.
  • Prescriptive authorization.
  • Experience providing primary care as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate.
  • Proficiency with medical instruments and equipment required to perform your work.
  • Knowledge of computer-based data management programs and information systems, as well as medical records and telehealth platforms.
  • A sound understanding of all pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPPA and OSHA.
  • Knowledge of disease prevention.
  • Knowledge of quality care standards and measures that prevent gaps in care.
  • Ability to maintain highly confidential information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
